If your company is required to be audited by law, it is necessary to get an auditor’s report to complete your annual report. Van Eert Accountants & Advisers is a certified accountancy firm that can help you obtain the auditor’s report for your company in the Netherlands. Below the process is explained.
At Van Eert Accountants & Advisers we work through five steps to give you the auditor’s report you need. During our work we use a work flow-application. This means that we work with electronic files which show a clear path of our activities, step by step. Every step in the process is the basis for the decisions made during the next step. This workflow-application allows us to improve our efficiency enormously. Our audit approach consists of five phases: preparation, planning, interim audit, end-of-the-year-audit (financial statements/annual accounts) and finishing phase. Each phase will be explained below.
During the preparation phase we establish basic matters like terms of engagement, human resources and budget.
During the planning phase we gain insight into the business strategy of your company and the market in which it operates. Based on this information we can map the business risks that could influence the financial statements.
The third phase, the interim audit phase, can be labelled as the most important one. During this phase we obtain insight and certainty concerning the core business processes like production, purchase, sale, supply management, transfers of funds and automation. This information will be used for our auditor’s report. Generally, these activities take place in the autumn.
During this fourth phase we will check the financial information, including the forecast, from your Dutch company for the end-of-the-year-audit (financial statements) based on previous analyses. All the information is checked on accuracy for each financial area.
During the finalizing phase, we determine the reliability of the annual report documented in the audit and of the management information.
The audit opinion is stated in the auditor’s report. Because it concerns financial information it is important that these are handled with care. Van Eert Accountants & Advisers is a certified accountancy company: you can rely on us to treat your financial information confidentially.
